By Train, Old "Ciro"

This railway station Golubici was built in 2005 for Emir Kusturica's film Life is a Miracle.

Stop at the Golubici station.

View of the Mokra Gora village from the Golubici station.. On the hill is Kusturica's Drvengrad (Wooden Town).

Between Sargan and Mokra Gora the railway is making a path in the shape of number 8, thus the 300 m height difference was surmanted skillfully.
In the picture: view from the train.

The Sargan Eight

The Sargan Eight is a narrow gauge railway in Serbia, running from the village Mokra Gora to Sargan Vitasi station. We entered the train at the station Jatare.

This railway was an important part of the former narrow gauge main line from Sarajevo to Belgrad. It was closed in 1974.

Between 1999 and 2003 the section over the Sargan pass was rebuilt.
